New chapter for Flames of Ambition! Working slowly but surely to keep these updates churning, so stay buckled up for the ride! With a furthering of the story, we also have a new header:
It’s safe to say things are progressing (*wink*). You can click here to read chapter 6.
It’s late and I did an all-day marathon to get this chapter done so finally I present to you, Flames of Ambition Chapter 5: Severed!
The story’s moving along and I’m so glad those of you who’ve been reading have continued this journey with me. Any newcomers, welcome and enjoy the ride!

Sorry to anyone who visits my blog; however, I haven’t updated in a while because I am unable to actually play Sims at the moment and haven’t had the time to write.
Until i’m able to get back on schedule, I will be on hiatus from posting. Definitely though, FOA and SCFS are still on!
I’ve just posted Chapter 4 of FOA (here)! It was a push to get this chapter out but I know that some big things are coming ahead for me so might as well crank this out while I have the inspiration!
For that aforementioned inspiration, I would have to say that two songs could fit with the latter part of the chapter: “Goodbye My Love” by Ailee, and “Diary” by Emi Hinouchi (I case you haven’t noticed, many of the inspiration songs will be in languages other than English).
Now I’ll be working on the next chapter before I get into my next major busy stretch. *puts on writing cap*

I haven’t stopped writing FOA yet! I’ve just got a few more pictures to take and edit and then I’ll be able to post the new chapter. In the meantime, please enjoy this excerpt below:
When Natalie was ten, her family lived in a beautiful house outside the city. The neighboring house included two boys that she and her brother would play with. One boy, the taller of the two, had blue eyes like the ocean; the other boy, much shorter than the first, had green eyes the color of a lush green jungle, always wild with excitement. They would go on adventures together in the woods that lied behind their houses. Games such as Tarzan and Jane, pirates and natives, and Indiana Jones were games that they often played and each of the three boys would alternate between the good guys and the bad guys leaving her to always be the unwilling love interest. Natalie always wanted to be a part of the guys—it was no fun playing the damsel in distress. Every night, she and her brother, Drew, would be scolded for getting their clothes dirty with mud and dirt; they would have to wash their hair every night to get all the leaves and twigs out. When Natalie’s mother divorced her father, they moved from that beautiful house in the country full of adventure and moved into the suburbs surrounding the city where Natalie would never see those boys again—at least she thought. As she looked at Jared, those green eyes looked almost the same after so many years.
I’ve haven’t been here in an obscenely long time; it’s a shame to tell you the truth. I’ve been slowly writing for Flames of Ambition when my free time has warranted me to do so. I haven’t given up on it! In fact, to show that I haven’t given up on FOA yet, here’s a short excerpt from the third chapter:
Light rain dripped from the sky ceremoniously as it preceded a heavier rain that began earlier that morning. Light dew coated the leaves of tries, flower petals, and hung on the heavy coats of the funeral attendants as the previous rain left a light fog over the graveyard. The morning was drearier than usual for the usually bustling city, but of course, it almost always seems to rain on the day of a funeral. Were the heavens mourning just like everyone else?
Jared was as numb as when he first got the news of his brother’s death but now, having the responsibility of another life thrust upon him so suddenly made him want to curl up in the fetal position. On one hand, he felt like his life had been completely changed—almost ruined—because he had so many things he wanted to do; however, on the other hand…as much as he didn’t want to admit it, Jared was scared—no, terrified. What if he couldn’t live up to be the father that his brother was? Even more incredulously, how could the heir of a global cooperation be a single father? He was dating Daniella but she was no mother-material. That night at the hospital, his niece had said nothing at all. Instead she looked up at him with the saddest blue eyes he had ever seen—the same blue eyes that he always saw first thing in the morning when he and his brother were children. Was this fate telling him to cherish others? Jared had so many questions but there was no one to answer him.
Good sneak peak, right?! Well, after I finish up the chapter (I’m trying to make it longer than the others) and its pictures then I will promptly upload chapter 3 with the utmost pride. 🙂
Happy simming and reading,
FOA Chapter 2: Cold has been posted over a week ago but a bug called “busy” has taken over my life right now. Hopefully I can crank out the next chapter faster than I cranked out this one.
Finally! I’ve finally finished taking the pictures for the second chapter of FOA and if I find time tomorrow, the chapter will be posted then.
The second chapter of Flames of Ambition is still a work in progress; as soon as I get the pictures done I’ll post the complete story. Until then, here is a little taste of what’s to come:
He sat there, wringing his hands constantly, waiting for someone to tell him anything. Everything was a blur. Everything felt so surreal—the ambulance pulling up as he did, both his brother and wife on stretchers covered in blood. His heart beat rhythmically with his breathing; his breath slipped out of his mouth in raged puffs. His normally crystalline green eyes looked glassy as tears collected on his eyelid while his eyelashes glistened from those tears that had already escaped. As he dipped his head in his hands a piece of his jet-black hair broke free from the carefully combed mop on his head and caressed his right hand.
I think I’ve finally felt like writing something after a very long time. So much to the point that I have written a short chapter for Flames of Ambition. As for Airborne, either I’m continuing that or starting a story completely different from that but that has its origin from Airborne.
By the way, my inspiration was all thanks to the songs The Day Before and Slip Away, both by Nell (a Korean indie-rock/alternative rock band), so it’s safe to say that these chapters might seem depressing or really sad. I’m not quite sure though. 🙂
Anyway, when I get access to Sims again, I’ll put all my hard work and vacation time into creating the pictures to accompany the chapters.
